The Novice Portfolio is open to all members who have not won:
- Previous WAUPS competitions including Image of the Year, Rottnest day dive overall winner, Portfolio, PIXELS overall winner
- or won/placed in a major underwater photography competition.
A portfolio consists of 6 images placed on a black background that work well together. It is judged annually in November and is sponsored by Perth Scuba.

Entries for the 2018 competition close Saturday 10th November by 11.30pm.
